Description
Why choose Bowls Central Phosphite?
Bowls Central Phosphite delivers a unique 5-28-8 analysis, supplying phosphorus as both phosphate and phosphite. The phosphate fraction feeds growth processes directly—especially root development and energy storage—while the phosphite fraction primes the plant’s own defence responses to help turf perform through stress (dry spells, cool snaps, and general seasonal pressure). A tailored blend of seaweed plus humic & fulvic acids improves foliar uptake and nutrient efficiency.
What’s inside
- Phosphate (metabolisable P): supports strong rooting and energy (ATP) for growth and recovery.
- Phosphite (reduced P): acts as a plant defence elicitor, helping turf respond to abiotic and seasonal stresses.
- Seaweed: natural source of secondary and micronutrients including B, Ca, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Mo, S, Zn.
- Humic & fulvic acids: aid nutrient chelation and transport, supporting rooting and resilience.
Key benefits for fine turf
- Rooting & establishment: phosphate drives dense, healthy root systems.
- Energy & recovery: phosphorus supports ATP formation for sustained performance.
- Stress readiness: phosphite primes natural defence pathways during challenging periods.
- Efficient uptake: seaweed + humics/fulvics assist foliar absorption and translocation.
Directions for use
- General programme (Mar–Oct): Apply 0.5 L/ha in 300 L water/ha every 4–6 weeks.
- Visible deficiency: Apply 1–2 L/ha in 400 L water/ha.
- Application tips: Use a fine/medium nozzle for even foliar coverage. Target actively growing turf. Avoid runoff; do not apply in extremes of heat or frost.
- Water-in: Foliar product—no immediate irrigation needed. If leaf-wetness is very short, a light syringe 2–4 hours post-spray can assist uptake.
Timing on bowls greens (UK)
Best windows: March–October at programme rates; increase interval frequency during high stress periods if required within label guidance.

Compatibility & mixing
- Part-fill tank with clean water and start agitation. Add Bowls Central Phosphite first, then other compatible liquids, then top up.
- Jar test recommended before mixing with unfamiliar products.
- Avoid very high-pH tanks and concentrated mixtures with strong oxidisers.
Technical summary
- Analysis: 5-28-8 + seaweed + humic & fulvic acids
- Phosphorus forms: ~50% phosphate / ~50% phosphite
- Mode of action: phosphate feeds growth & roots; phosphite primes natural defence responses
- Micronutrient support: B, Ca, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Mo, S, Zn (from seaweed)
FAQs
Is phosphite a fertiliser or a pesticide?
Phosphite here is provided as a nutritional/elicitor input. It does not act as a pesticide; instead it helps prime the plant’s own defence responses while the phosphate feeds normal metabolism.
Will this “green up” the turf?
The product supports healthy growth and stress resilience. Any colour response will depend on baseline nutrition, temperature, light and overall programme.
Can I tank-mix with biostimulants?
Often yes, but always perform a jar test first and avoid extreme tank pH. Contact us if unsure.
Safety & storage
- Wear standard spraying PPE. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- Store sealed in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Do not allow to freeze.
- Keep out of reach of children and animals.
